i'm guessing 'cause they graduated from high school. did they actually graduate? anyway, there aren't many college shows (like none) on tnbc. and since SBTB's college show flopped they probably figured they wouldn't try that again.

...or maybe because TNBC wasn't going to return, and NBC didn't care enough to put it on prime-time.

Actor Wesley Johnathan wants to move on from this show to a new show, WILAY. But even if he did better in WILAY, that show isn't doing well. Now he is going to star in a new sitcom.

I know it is also a good show, but unfortunately, there are other reasons why this show is no longer in air:

1) They should have added actor Alex Morris, who played Billy, the new husband of Karen Noble. he is funny and also serious.

2) Too much annihilation in that atmosphere.

3) The series finale is poorly organized.

It's been so long since I've seen City Guys- but I enjoyed watching it too back when it aired in the 1990s on NBC's Saturday morning lineup. (Of course, I liked NBC's Saturday morning lineup even better in the 1980s when they had more cartoons than live action shows- but that's just an aside.):)

MacLeaper, City Guys is no longer on air anymore. But putting this show on DVD is considered questionable.

I just realized that it has now, officially been 20 years (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/2001/12/06/on-saturday-mornings-nbc-doesnt-want-to-play-anymore/7204b1c6-4bea-4bd4-b30d-81283e5ab294/) since NBC announced (https://variety.com/2001/tv/news/nets-flip-kid-lid-1117856139/) that they were getting out of the Saturday morning business (https://uproxx.com/tv/tnbc-shows-ranked/) and leasing their time (https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a4395/discovery-takes-over-nbc-saturday-morning/) to Discovery Communications (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/archive/index.php/t-43052.html). Basically, cable channels like Nickelodeon killed things for NBC (https://popcultureaffidavit.com/tag/tnbc/), since they not only had more time to air kids' show, they had much more ad inventory available at lower rates than do broadcasters.

Besides all the cast members, plus recurring guest actor Alex Morris, are moving to new and better projects along the way...
