It’s another Encore Presentation of something I’ve presented before — a chance to see the first aired episode of I Love Lucy (https://jacksonupperco.com/2013/06/18/the-ten-best-i-love-lucy-episodes-of-season-one/), “The Girls Want To Go To A Nightclub (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girls_Want_to_Go_to_a_Nightclub),” as it would have been seen upon its debut, October 15, 1951 (http://www.tvtango.com/listings/1951/10/15). Oh, I don’t just mean with the original openings, closings, and commercials intact, but also on a period-appropriate set — specifically, my beautifully restored Admiral television (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admiral_(electrical_appliances)) (that’s restored, not retrofitted — meaning, it’s using the internal mechanism, with picture and sound tubes!), made out of Bakelite and released as model 20×122 in September 1949, when less than ten percent of American households had a TV.
