Nick at Nite Scores Highest-Rated January Ever Among Adults 18-49,
Draws Record Audience Levels
Santa Monica, CA, February 1, 2005 – For January, 2005, Nick at Nite scored its highest-rated and most-watched January in its history among its target audience of Adults 18-49. Bolstered by the network’s roster of modern hit sitcoms such as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Roseanne, the network finished the month with double-digit gains in rating, delivery and total viewers and tied as the highest-rated basic cable network for the month among its target A18-49 demo.
According to Nielsen Media Research (12/27/04-1/30/05) Nick at Nite averaged a 0.7/681,000 among A18-49 during total programming day, a +17% ratings increase and a +11% delivery increase over January 2004. The network drew an average of 1.6 million persons 2+, representing a +18% increase over prior-year levels.
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was the highest-rated and most watched NAN program in January among A18-49, averaging a 0.8/786,000, up +14% above channel average and a rise of +15% in delivery. Among total viewers, the program delivered 1.8 million total viewers, up +13%.

Santa Monica, February 1, 2005 – For January 2005, TV Land scored its most-watched month ever among total viewers on a total programming day basis. With the launch of the network’s newest acquisition, Highway to Heaven, and the strong performance of staples such as The Andy Griffith Show, Three’s Company and All in the Family, the network finished the month averaging 575,000 total viewers on a total programming day basis, up +16% over last January, besting the network’s previous most-watched month ever in January 2003.
According to Nielsen Media Research (12/27/04-1/30/05), TV Land posted, in total programming day a 0.3/299,000 among Adults 25-54, up +26% over last year. In prime time, the network averaged a 0.4/381,000, a +14% rise in delivery over last year and 885,000 total viewers, an increase of +9% versus last year.
TV Land January Performance Highlights:
* Highway to Heaven--- the acclaimed NBC series created by Michael Landon which joined the network on January 10, attracted an average of 926,000 total viewers for its 8 p.m. airing in January, up +6% over last year’s time slot. It scored a 0.4/377,000, a +14% delivery increase over last year.
* TV Land’s First Things First (January 1, 6 a.m. – 6 a.m.), a 24-hour New Year’s Day programming event which showcased episodes of The Flip Wilson Show, Cheers, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched and others, averaged a 0.4/349,000 among A25-54, up +33% in rating and +17% in delivery over last year. The marathon averaged 582,000 total viewers, a rise of +4% over last year.
