You might know the name Sentry Hardware as they were the second biggest hardware store chain next to Ace Hardware. In 1981 Sentry Hardware launched a commercial starring a guy named Mr. Howie who earned his name because he needed help on how to fix things in his home. The commercial began with Mr. Howie asking for help when suddenly when no one is there lets out a big !!! HELP !!! in a Streetcar Named Desire like fashion and then someone offers him help. I don't know if Sentry Hardware is in business today but I think they went broke in 1993 but they sure had funny commercials like this one
