Being the lead editor for the Diff'rent Strokes section at tvtome.com, I had been contacted by a programming manager at a TV station, (will not reveal any details at this time) that has signed an agreement with Columbia Tristar to license 13 episodes of the series.

The manager asked me to identify some MUST HAVE episodes from the series.

So, I thought I'd bring you the fans in on this.

What are 13 episodes that are MUST HAVE (or the best):

You know iv'e literally been sitting here thinking for the last 10 minutes of the best episodes, and honestly I couldn't come up with anything. Not to say the episodes were bad, I just can't think of too many landmark episodes that really stand out. Most DS episodes seemed to have pretty basic storylines, and seemed to deal with the same kinds of things in a slightly different way. I guess thinking about it more the best episodes I can think of were the ones that showed the closeness between Willis, and Arnold. I think Mr Drummond, and the kids relationship at times seemed phony, but Arnold and Willis' relationship seemed quite genuine. The best example of an episode I can think of that showed Willis, and Arnold's relationship was "Willis' privacy". Iv'e always enjoyed that one. If I think of anymore i'll post them.

At the moment, here are 10 of the best in my opinion-

2. The Social Worker
11. No Time For Arnold
46. Teacher's Pet
74. The Athlete
96. Music Man
115/116. The Bicycle Man
124. Where There's Smoke
164. Happy Birthday Drummond
172/173. Sam's Missing
181. Bulimia

What do you mean by "license" 13 episodes, does than mean to television or video?

It means to have the ability to air the episodes.

I watched the show when I was a kid but I don't remember many specific episodes.

Musical episodes are always a good choice. I remember an episode when they are recording a song in the studio. It was kind of cool. The song might have been "Ebony and Ivory."

I remember a later episode when Arnold is on a date at a restaurant.

Wish I could remember more. The earlier shows were definitely the best.

I'd have to go with his choices. I can't really think of others that stood out besides those. Maybe a few others, I guess.
