I have a question. Why does it seem like everybody wants to break Joanie and Chachi up in their fanfic? Can't we have some happy Joanie and Chachi Stories with out divorce, or Joanie having an affair with Fonzie?

I am currently writing fanfic where Joanie and Chachi are having their first child.

I'll admit, I think I may have been the one who started the whole Joanie/Fonzie thing, and it just sort of took off. I'm sorry. ;) It was just and idea I had...and then it ran wild!

It's not that the stories are bad it is just everybody was just writing kind of about the same thing... Joanie and Chachi break up and Joanie and Fonzie have an Affair.

OMG..Me too! I got into the "Joanie Chachi" spirit and wanted to write something I got some GREAT ideas, I havein't started writing yet but i'm gonna start soon I've got like..the whole story in my head!

I'm not sure...I think it my obsession over Joanie and Chcachi is attributed to the fact that I am just so darn obsessed with that motorcycle driving, leather jacket wearing stud muffin. I love Joanie and want to see the best for her and I love Fonzie and want to see the best for him-- and they just seem so darn cute together. And Fonz understands Joanie so much more than Chachi ever seemed to. Fonzie was the knight and shining armor, while Chachi was the little kid with the crush who himself even had to run to Fonzie for help. Fonzie always seemed selfless compared to Chachi who seemed selfish.

I honestly am still on the bandwagon that Fonzie and Ashley married after the final episode Passages. Ashley finally realized that her ex-husband was a moron and knew her heart could only belong to one man-- Fonzie. And Heather realizes that Fonzie is a MUCH better father than her biological dad, who deserted her again and this time never returned.

I'm currently working on 2 HD fanfics simultaneously. One is based in season 1 and the other in the final season. The one from the final season even explains what happened to Chuck!!

I'd rather have a story about Fonzie finding a wife and having little ones of his own.

As you've polly read I, MilKnPepSi And Istillgotit have written one about Fonzie's marriage, someday to be followed by a story about Fonzie having kids...

I was just wondering if you are going to finish that "new Girl" story. It started out cool, and I'd like to see how it plays out.

I honestly want to...but between working two jobs and writing about non-HD stuff...plus the fact that I'm like partway through 5 different HD stories right now...I'm not sure when it's going to happen. I will try...I promise! :D

No offense to anyone and boy do I mean it! NO OFFENSE!!!!!! Please please don't hate me, people already want to kill me because I started that whole "Jerry Springer meets Happy Days" thing. Honestly speaking, am I the only one who finds a Fonzie/Joanie pairing disgusting? I know that they would look cute together...etc but Fonzie was like Richie, an older brother. That's incest!

I didnt find it distgusting--I found it highly amusing because its JERRY SPRINGER---NOT OPRAH! I mean..it wasnt like you made it to be something dramatic..you made it for Jerry. People know what Jerry Springer is about lol..so its nothing you shouldnt expect! Its not "anything" that happens on Jerry, its EVERYTHING! Besides.. Im used to those episodes on Springer LOl..:lol:

If anyone cares I started writing yesterday (FINALLY :p), I like how it's turning out.

I can completely understand if people would rather see Joanie and Chachi together, as that's the way the story ended, and I personally would love to see some continuation on the series with the original themes, especially Joanie and Chachi's marriage.

I guess the only thing I can say in support of Joanie and Fonzie being together is that's just the way I write my stories. When I was watching the show all the way through for the first time, the final season where Joanie and Chachi broke up made me think it would end with Joanie and Fonzie getting together. Even before Chachi came on the show, I often wondered if that would end up being the love story, as the writers would often take care to have Fonzie mention Joanie as someone whom he loved and loved him in return. But it was a REAL disappointment for me when the last two episodes suddenly and miraculously got Joanie and Chachi together again after a long hiatus and also had them marry in the same instance. Sure, it wasn't a bad ending, in fact those last episodes definitely had alot of tearjerker moments, but it almost felt like a cop-out happy ending.

So, I thought on it, and one day I found this board and an outcry for fanfiction, and decided to write out some stories. Granted, it's not the way most people would continue the show, but the ideas I had in my head were just my ideas and nothing official, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to just write out my stories my way and finally get some fanfic out there for anyone with an interest. Granted, my stories get alot of approval (and some disapproval to be fair) but the great thing about it is, so many people are interested in doing their own fanfic now it's almost scary.

Bottom line is, if you have a story to tell, there is now a big enough audience to lend an ear. These characters are entirely fictional, which leaves the realm of storytelling wide open for anyone with an imagination and a love of the show. I say, don't be afraid to write it as you want it, because in the end, you're not really hurting anything.

So to everyone contemplating a fanfic with either a tight or a loose grasp on established continuity, I say there's plenty of room for everyone, so get writing! :)
