As a horse lover I sometimes watch the Kentucky Derby after learning about it in my Thoroughbred book series and every year I don't know why the Kentucky Derby gets so hyped every year? Is it because it garners huge attention or is it because a lot of horse lovers like myself watch it to see the marvelous horses? Every year that the Kentucky Derby is on NBC seems to gain huge ratings for it and just like the other horse races like the Preakness the Kentucky Derby seems to become more and more popular every year

In my eyes why the Kentucky Derby gets so hyped every year is because I think NBC gets high ratings for it each year and it has become the highest watched sporting event next to the World Series and Super Bowl. But I mainly think the Kentucky Derby attracts big time horse lovers and lots of celebrity hype because there's something about horse racing that many people enjoy
