The Wheel of Fortune hosts in order will take you from Chuck Woolery in the 1970s to Ryan Seacrest in the 2020s, after he took over for Pat Sajak.

Chuck and Pat were the only good ones :)

Merv Griffin has this idiosyncrasy of picking hosts out of fields totally unrelated. Rolf B (Wheel) and Mike Reilly (Monopoly) are two, but I am sure there were others.

We also muat consider that the formatting of Wheel changed big-time in 1983 when it was all-cash; no more Ceramic Dalmatian Shopping. In other words, the PUZZLES are the star. When it became all-cash + a bonus round, well, that was not the perk that Chuck had; he did what he could with the earlier format.

SO—based on that, AND based on the fact that Ryan is still in training, I give you in order:
