I never got into Andy Kaufman’s shtick. But I wonder - was he a comic genius, someone on the autism spectrum, or both?

AK was one of a kind, and you can take that one way or the other.

Outside of Latka, whenever he did standup, one never knew what to expect. He once said “I never told a joke in my life.” He was an experiment, if you will, to get reactions.

Whether reading “The Great Gatsby”, lip-synching the Mighty Mouse theme, or picking a fight with Jerry Lawler—his picture appears in the dictionary next to “Enigma.” ;)

Is his 1979 one hour TV special available? i vaguely remember it.
