Virginia has been known as a popular state mostly known for lovely cities like Williamsburg and as the home of Pocahontas. In 1982 the Virginia tourism board debuted a commercial. When you first see the commercial the intro might remind you of the intro of the Bob Newhart Show theme song "you know the theme where a telephone rings and Bob Newhart says Hello" When the commercial begins we hear a voice on an answering machine talking about the things Virginia has to offer then we know the voice on the answering machine is talking to a guy and then the telephone rings again and begs the guy to answer but the guy is busy looking through a Virginia travel guide with the famous slogan "Virginia Is For Lovers" and then the commercial ends. I don't know how the Virginia tourism board came up with this commercial but it is very clever

Virginia is a beautiful state. Very scenic, beautiful mountains. And Virginia Beach is nice too. I been to Virginia a few times. :)
