"Jury Duty" to Return for Season 2 on Amazon; Theme of New Installment Revealed
by Nellie Andreeva, Rosy Cordero
February 20, 2025

One of the comedy breakouts of 2023 was "Jury Duty", a documentary-style comedy for Amazon Freevee that featured James Mardsen and other actors surrounding an unsuspecting juror at a trial.

The Emmy-nominated comedy is back and — surprise — its second season is already in the can, sources tell Deadline. It will run on Prime Video where Freevee’s content has migrated after Amazon’s free ad-supported streaming platform was shut down.

Details are being kept under wraps but we hear that the theme of the new installment is David vs. Goliath.

Taking inspiration from classic 1980s movies such as Animal House and Caddyshack, it is about a small business going on a company retreat, with the real, unsuspected person tested when a Goliath suddenly shows up, sources said.

"Jury Duty" Season 2 Sets Premiere Date
by Denise Petski
Jan. 29, 2026

Prime Video has set March 20 for the Season 2 premiere of "Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat", the latest installment form the "Jury Duty" creative team will launch with three episodes, followed by two episodes on March 27, and a three-episode finale on April 3.

It will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The documentary-style comedy captures a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company from the perspective of Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker. Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, every colleague around him is performing a role, and each moment – whether in conference rooms or during downtime – has been meticulously orchestrated.

As the founder prepares to step down, the getaway transforms into a clash between big corporate ambitions and small business values, with control of the company hanging in the balance.
