I really enjoy this episode. It also marked the last great season IMHO. Of course the show was still good but post 1984 it lost some of its greatness like most sitcoms after 4 years.
This episode is almost like a play and its really fun.
The actor who played Mr Bigley appears in at least one more future episode and the trick or treat girl becomes a short term regular in the next season and then disappears.

Personally, I loved the show from the beginning to the end. And I never thought the show lost its magic. I love the later years when the girls are adults. To me, the show still had "lightning in a bottle" feeling and it still had that magic. :D

To me, the show was still great post 1984 and still had that greatness about it. Personally, my least favorite season is season 1. However, I love the show from the beginning to the end. So it had a lot of great seasons after the Halloween episode. :D
