Ever since it debuted in 1978 I never knew why The Wiz became so popular? Because when you put Diana Ross and Michael Jackson together Michael stole the show and I think that's the main reason why The Wiz did well in theaters. But ever since then the songs Ease On Down The Road and Home have become popular songs and The Wiz has been on Broadway and has been remade as a holiday TV musical on NBC. So why does everybody like The Wiz a lot? Is it because of the New York setting or is it because of the great music?
