correction, they AIRED Growing Pains about a year ago, then ABC Family aired it, but they took it off about 3 months later and then put it on for another month about 6 months later, so abc family is definately not a choice you want to go to! they dont' keep shows on that channel very long!! It's lucky if it lasts 2 months! :)
fr00ti 10-20-2002, 07:47 PM k ill try those
i think that lifetime would be perfect, you know television for women, and FOL is made up of mostly women. so....
Mr. Stefani 10-20-2002, 07:48 PM The only one I would want to see it on is Tv Land. I doubt USA would pick it up again...they showed it for a few years, right?
LucyFan 10-20-2002, 08:20 PM I said something exactly like what you are saying not too long ago. Here is what I said in the other thread:

Then some jerk made a rude statement against me.
But, anyways I agree with you.
LynnFOL 10-20-2002, 08:29 PM I'm not sure about all those channels but I will be asking around. I just want to make sure that if a channel does pick this show up that we ALL have it. It wouldn't be worth it or fair if only a few of us get to see it, like it was with Hallmark. TV Land, Lifetime, and maybe TNN are my picks.
FOLrocks1 10-20-2002, 08:56 PM I wouldn't mind seeing it on Lifetime or The Disney Channel....Those netwoks are great!
Impressions 10-20-2002, 09:38 PM I'm sure TV Land or Lifetime might take it into consideration, USA aired the show already, so I doubt they pick it up again, Noggin would even would be a good network, You could try TNN, but i can't stand that Black Bar.
Czas na Zywiec 10-20-2002, 09:43 PM I'm fine with either Lifetime, TNN (Though I really doubt it will pick it up now since they dumped Diffren't Strokes), USA (It was on there for 5 years I think, so I doubt It'd go back), or TNT, TBS, or Disney. But TNT and TBS air newer stuff, so I don't think It'll go there either. I have a feeling that TVLand might pick it up though.

You obviously don't understand that I said we don't need your help with the petition. You just automatically assumed I was talking about the network thing. Jesus, some people.

Stop justifing your rudeness! By the way, your rude remark happened BEFORE "the network thing".

I think these would be very good choices especially Lifetime. "The Facts of Life" would fit in well in that network since it is devoted to women.

I hate to admit it, but, I really do think Lifetime is our best bet...

Right.

I dunno. Lifetime already picked up The Nanny (:loveya:!), Suddenly Susan (:(), Caroline in the City (:(), and Will and Grace (:(), so their sked is pretty much full with Sitcoms. Unless they like get rid of Golden Girls and Mad About You. Designing Women is almost completely gone as of next month.
jayman75 10-20-2002, 10:43 PM Here's what REALLY needs to be done before all this other stuff...
We need to find out who owns the rights to TFOL. Then, we need to contact them and ask, plead and beg them to put it on television.
The problem is that so many current shows are available for syndication that networks want the name. TFOL is old -- no offense to anyone. Most people probably do want to see W&G over TFOL.
So, someone highly enterprising (Pav??) needs to locate the owners of TFOL rights, and then we can bombard them.

Great idea! I like it! :)
fr00ti 10-20-2002, 11:39 PM Screw Golden Girls, put FOL over it. I know this will make people mad

LOL! Yea but that's Lifetime's highest rated sitcom, so I doubt that it would take it off anytime soon. It stillgets pretty good ratings for a cable channel.

Oh meangya--W&G is on the WB too! (Well..it is here anyway)..
Lifetime would be our best bet. I think instead of doing the petition..maybe someone here could write a letter, then we could all sign it...just a suggestion...

Hell no! I am one of those that would not go for that. I absolutely love The Goldens Girls. It is one of my favorite shows. Plus, I bet a lot more people would rather watch the GG's than FOL.

Jayman75 is right. We should find out who owns the rights to TFOL and ask, beg and plead them to put it on the air.
