MadTV was seen as Saturday Night Live’s more edgy, “low-brow” and “immature” competitor from 1995-2009. Future stars like Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Bobby Lee and many others got their start on the show. Freebooted clips from the show went viral on early YouTube accumulating millions of views each. And yet there doesn’t seem to be many organized, online spaces of folks celebrating the show despite being beloved by so many people worldwide. This video chronicles everything about the show from its formation and its very talented cast to its inevitable downfall.
