Disastrous storylines can ruin a TV show forever, from uninteresting arcs to baffling decisions that erase years of character growth and progress.

I'm not bothered by the Ross dating a student plot, I mean that's just Ross being Ross. And the student was a young adult woman, old enough to make her own decisions and she could've said no. As far as the other shows, I've never watched any of them except How I Met Your Mother which I never watched much of because I always thought it was a hot and stupid mess.
