it makes no sense to what they are doing. no offense to the other shows but they should have left chico alone and bothered the other shows that has been repeating thousands of times over and over again that i am begining to know all of the lines. chico just came on tvland and it is not even finished with all of the episodes and here they go wanting to change things.here on the west coast it is coming on around 2:00am. i will be e-mailing tvland to do another chico and the man marathon. why not? because they have been showing marathons for other shows that is airing already . i suggest everyone e-mail also. my mom has memories, we have our video tapes.lucky her

I agree with ya! They put the good ones on at odd hours. Fortunately I love all the shows in the 7-11 pm lineup. Still they could make room for CHICO then... I e-mailed them & hopefully others will too. It's too popular a show to have it on at such a weird hour! Let's bring CHICO on at a normal hour...

Watch out Ladies!!! I just got up to tape at 5am(East coast) and NO CATM!!!! Then I went to TVLand and discovered that because of fhaw they run the Fandimonium weekend schedule, They are showing CATM at 5am TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AM!!!! Another case of being screwed!!! LOOOOKING VERY BAD!!!!

Yowie! I noticed a conflict on TVLANDS websites schedule. In the listing for when CHICO will be on it lists it as being on on Sat. AM at 5 am. In the weekley listing where it lists their schedule for the week, the GOMER PYLE FANDEMONIUM is listed as being on at 5 am. I wonder which one's right. Sure hope CHICO is on at 5 am Sat...

I just saw the Florence Ballard (Mysteries & scandals). I was surprised to see her on. I haven't seen anything on poor Flo in ages. I'm waiting to see the Freddie Mysteries & scandals. I hope they're listening.

It sounds like CATM has a pretty dedicated group of people who are willing to get up at 2 a.m., 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. to make sure they get a taping of the show! I am going to set my VCR for 4 a.m. on one tv and then set my alarm to wake up and tape it (by hand) on another VCR. I can't trust automatic technology on important things like recording CATM!!!! I've written to TV-Land
about putting the show on prime time too.
Hopefully they will get our message!!!

I could'nt sleep last night waiting for CATM to come on at 5:00 A.M. This is really ridiculous................. #@$% TV LAND!

i stayed up at 2:00am in the morning to watch chico and the man. this is crazy what tvland is doing. i haven't seen a chico episode since this past friday. no matter how mad i was to stay up to watch and tape chico that early in the morning, i did enjoy today's episode #53-mucha macho ed. he looked good in his gray suit and had great energy. this episode was nice, upbeat and funny. this episode is the freddie that i am use to seeing.

slot. Chico looked like his old self this
morning and the show was back to it's old
self. I was beginning to worry a little with
the last few episodes. Ed seemed very rude,
and I noticed that Chico and him were not as
touchy, feeley. I liked the show today.
Chico looked more handsome than usual and
him and Ed were loving each other again. Did
anyone else notice the difference?? By the
way, thanks Cheryl for the petition. I signed it today.

Me, too, Tracy! Given all the interest in Freddie and CATM, tapes like that would sell pretty well! Out of all the 70's shows on the Sitcom message board, this one has almost the greatest number of posts! United we stand!

I'd buy some tapes of him. My hubby & I were discussing how it wasn't available on video tape along with some other shows of his. He was wondering if maybe James Komaks heirs have the rights to it or what. There is definately enough interest to have all the show sput out on video & have out a book on the whole show with pictures & have a book on Freddies life with tons of pictures...

i don't like it when tvland splits the screen and i can't hear the flip side of the theme song "chico and the man". that drives me crazy because i love the flip side of the song. i love the way jose (with the accent over the e ) sings the theme song but tvland always interrupts at the end of the show. why do they do this????

oh yeah and NO chico until tuesday. Why is tvland picking on this classic show???????

I agree with ya ont he split screens. The shows ending theme song is on the flips side of the CHICO theme song 45 by Jose Feliciano. My hubby & I recently found it in an antique shop awhile back & bought it. shows. i don't see why they can't do another chico and the man marathon. freddie deserves it and we deserve it too. i have e-mailed them already to do another chico and the man marathon. and to show chico from the begining to the end again. there is a petition to sign for a better time slot for chico, it is on this web site, if you have not signed yet. also e-mail them to do another marathon and to start over again. i hope everyone on this board does too. don't wait for tvland . we must make our demands heard, NOW!

Not that I'm saying moving Chico to this time slot was okay (that time slot is crap for anything), but I have the belief that it will get a better time slot in the future. I got TVLand a little over a year ago, and my fav. show, Hogan's Heroes, was on at 4 & 4:30am. Ticked me off. Then, in a matter of months, it got moved to 3 & 3:30pm. Then like 4 months later it moved again to 12 & 12:30 pm. Now it's on at 10am. It moved 4 time in a year. I heard that the Love Boat was coming in June, which will probably mean yet another schedule change. So keep your hopes alive that those indecisive people at TVLand will give Chico a better time slot.

Good Point. For now i guess we will have to tape the show and watch it later on during the day.

How I wish I lived on the west coast. 2:00AM would be almost bearable but here in Ohio if I want to hear the great toe-tapping Chico and the Man theme song or listen to Chico and Ed's dialog I would have to get up at 5:00AM. Before it came on at 12:00 midnight, however, now I'm forced to suffer thru an episode of Baretta at this time.

Thats why i say there should really be another TVLand channel thats how popular it is and there are many shows to choose from.

In the eastern time zone the prime-time hours from 8:00PM - 1:00AM could be where the classics are spotlighted. However if I wanted to watch at 8:00PM I would presently have to suffer through an episode of 'Emergency' which is something I've never had the desire to do. Emergency is clogging a prime spot where two classic comedies could fit. One of which could be 'Chico and the Man'. At midnight I have to endure 'Baretta', an okay show but one that I don't need to see nightly. Two out of the five prime-time hours are filled with less than high quality. Chico and the Man could be shown at 8:00PM for those in the East and again at 12:00 Midnight for the people in the West.

Fortuantely I like EMREGENCY & think it's a great show but I agree with ya on BARRETTA. BARRETTA was okay but it was no CHICO. They should've kept CHICO on at midnite & then had at 12:30 am another CHICO. Or better yet have both on at 8 PM & EMEREGENCY on at midnite. Ok here are a few things i see wrong with the current TVLand schedule. Why is All in the Family on both N@N and TVLand. I like the show and love watching it but thats unfair. Gomer Pyle another show i watch and its one of my favs but is there really a need to have an 11:30am episode and then a full hour at 4pm thats unfair. ROC i liked this show but really what is it doing there.
Then there are other shows that are on during the day that get repeated during the night. I think TVLand has made some errors with this current schedule and could improve on it.

I agree Ed that there is absolutely no good
reason to have a show on Nick at Nite plus
TV-Land. I never did understand why some shows are shown twice in a row or two or more times per day when some of the really
good shows suffer. I wrote to TV-land and
asked that question but never got an answer.

That is strange that ALL IN THE FAMILY is on both channels. I can't help but wonder why. I am glad it's on TVLAND since we can't get the paid channels on the Satellite dish cuz I can't find a descrambler for it.

I've never seen ROC before but isn't it a newer 90's show? If so I wonder why it would be on a channel playing old tv shows? They need to revamp their schedule...

How about in Emergency's time slot? Why did that show get prime time???

EMERGENCY used to be on Primetime then got moved to the afternoons. Now it's back on at nite. I wonder if they had enough folks complaining toput it on at nite. I'm glad CHICO isn't on in the afternoons cuz I wouldn't want it conflicting with ONE LIFE TO LIVE or GENERAL HOSPITAL or PORT CHARLES...

Yep your right about them airing 2 sitcoms back to back or the asme sitcom back to back. The only drama/police shows that are 30 mins are DRAGNET & ADAM 12 which I love those too. It is possible they could put one of those after it. I wish the Raul episodes were on in the summer instead of now. When we go on our 2 weeks vacation to visit hubbys sister in Ohio it may be hard to see the show but fortuantely they have TVLAND there. What's worse is when we go on our weeks trip to the beach at Nags head to stay with my folks at the Condo they have there & go to a few weeks a yr.
