It looks like DS doesn't have a home anywere on TV now since it is leaving Trouble in November.
I was hoping that they might show the final 3 seasons in November but instead they are stopping it all together. It's not even being replaced by a good show- Malcolm and Eddie.

I don't know if they are just giving it a break or if it will ever return to Trouble, I don't even think their E-Mail address is working anymore for me to write to them.

What is it with all these channels? They are taking away everything good and replacing it with something crappy.

I know- a lot of these networks just don't care about the quality of what they are showing- if they did a lot of it wouldn't even make it on the air.

Does Trouble have some kind of phrase like "Viewer Satisfaction"? Tv Land has something along those lines, and I must say that the channel just sucks now. Emailing and complaining on the message boards don't help. When I heard Hallmark was dropping FOL, I emailed them. I didn't even get an automatic reply back. That's the main reason I made that FOL petition on the board. DVD and VHS companies need to realize that people WANT the shows that aren't shown on tv. Take Friends for instance, if I wanted to watch that show- I'd have plenty of opportunities to catch it on TBS and two other channels here. FOL and DS is rarely shown. It's natural I'd want to get the rare favorites before I purchased the shows that get rerun to death.

You know what will be interesting to see? How trouble treats Malcolm and Eddie in regards to editing content and stuff. I recall watching a few episodes of this show in the past out of shear boredom, and noticed lots of raunchy sexual situations, as well as innuendo. Far more then Diff'rent Strokes ever had. It will be interesting to see if trouble will be hypocrits and show these raunchy Malcolm episodes, like they refused to do with DS.

No, Trouble don't really have a slogan. Their advertising campaigns are always stupid and they used to even take the mick out of Gary Coleman as I mentioned before.
They show the same junk over and over, shows like Malibu shouldn't even be shown because they are so bad, and a new show they've just started features people going round nightclubs. Yawn! I really don't think they care about what the viewer wants to see. I've asked them to show FOL on Trouble before too and they didn't reply- FOL hasn't been shown here since 1992.
It's the same thing with Friends here too, it's on 3 different channels- some shows are just too overplayed.

About the Malcolm and Eddie episodes- I think they would definetly show episodes with sex plots. They've showed Fresh Prince episodes were Carlton took a drug overdose, Will got shot etc yet they won't show DS episodes featuring incidents of the same kind.
The other day when I was watching My wife and Kds on Trouble they actually bleeped the word "crap" out of it too.

All networks care about these days are showing hours upon hours of commercials. My theory is they pick up the newer shows because since they are filmed to a shorter length than older shows, editing isn't as big a deal then. Soon we'll bee seeing more commerical than a favorite show of ours.

You have a point there. I was watching the "Man on the Moon" movie last night on Comedy Central and I swear they had a commericial break every 10 minutes. The movie is about 2 and 1/2 hours long, and it was insane having a commericial break every 10 minutes.

I'm so annoyed at Trouble's treatment of Diff'rent Strokes. The way they won't play certain episodes and edit others really gets on my nerves. I've written to them via email several times about it, but have never had a single reply back.

As for editing "crap" out of My Wife and Kids, they also edit certain swear words out of That 70s Show. I know they edit out b*astard and b*tch, and this is even during the 10:30pm time slot! Now I would understand perfectly if they did that during the daytime showings, but at 10:30pm? That's just insane.

I really, really hate censorship.

I don't know much about it, but it's a channel offered in the UK.

It's a cable channel that's geared to teens and features programmes like Fresh Prince, Saved By the Bell: New Class/College Years, My Wife and Kids, That 70s Show, Malcome and Eddie, City Guys, Malibu, etc. Stuff like that.

The only shows I watch on it are Fresh Prince, That 70s Show, and Diff'rent Strokes. All the rest are trash.

Yeah- Trouble is just trash now. I think it's aimed at teens- well going by there new shedules they assume teens just wanna watch junk.

My 2 fav shows on there DS and My Wife and Kids are both leaving it now. I like some of there other sitcoms but all there home made shows are terrible, and all the "teen sitcoms" Malibu, Hang Time etc.

Harley Quinn, it's good to see another UK fan of the show since I don't think there are many. How long have you been watching it?

Quite a few months. I've been taping it and have every episode Trouble have shown on video. I just wish they'd show episodes like Bicycle Man, Hitch-Hikers, and the few final seasons. Not going to happen though. :(

It's not impossible that they would never show the final few seasons- they did tell me before that it was likely, it just looks very unlikely now.
They should have shown The Bicycle Man though- they are obsessed with skipping episodes for no reason.

That sounds EXACTLY like what Hallmark did to FOL this year. I mean, they skipped episodes that weren't even CLOSE to being controversial, and the bulk of what they did air WERE the controversial episodes, well, which of course you probably know from reading the boards, LOL.

But I guess because it's leaving after October explains why Hallmark skipped so many episodes.

And I can't tell you how sick I am of more current programming replacing classic shows. TV Land has pretty much sworn to remain classic, we'll see... The reason networks play more current programming, is because they do well now in regular syndication, and on regular airings, and of course are far less long than classic sitcoms, so less editing is required and networks basically want to capitalize on that now. I guarantee you their popularity will go down in several years. Notice how a lot of classic shows that didn't do so hot during their regular airings are now more popular than ever. Well, I'm betting it will be the opposite for the current programming.

I'm not saying this because I hate all current programming, in fact I like a lot of it, not too many sitcoms, but the dramas are good.

Half the time the newtwoks just seem to show the episodes they feel like, I remember looking on the FOL board and people were saying about Hallmark skipping eps with nothing remotley controversial in them too.
Maybe one day, a great network will pick up DS and FOL and show them all unedited without skipping any.

Yeah, I did. I'll get back to you sometime today. Sorry for not replying earlier, but I've been so swamped with a lot of stuff I haven't had time, lol. So, expect an e-mail later today. But in response to it here first, I can add what you wanted, not a problem.
