Heather took a deep breath. Her and her big mouth. Just when would she learn to shut up? Thanks to her big mouth, Heather sat in a booth at arnolds staring across the room at Fonzie's booth. He was sitting there talking to someone, Heather reconized him as the frequent singer on the Arnold's stage, Waren "Potise" Webber. What The Fonz was doing talking to someone like Potsie was beyond Heather's understanding.

Gathering all her courage, Heather stood up and walked across the room. Although he wasn't looking at her, Heather did her best to walk with a combonation of pourpouse and sensuality. She could only pray she wasn't waddleing like a duck.

Heather wordlessly slid into the seat beside Fonzie and leaned against him. Nothing unuseal, girls did that all the time. Fonzie turned to look at her, and Heather tried not to faint as she stared into his warm, brown eyes. Although his eyes were now on her, and his arm had found it's way around her shoulders, he still adressed his words to Potsie.

Heather couldn't think. Here she was, snuggled up agisnt The Fonz while he spoke with one of his friends. Although sevreal girls did that daily, Heather could never get over just how good it felt. For a moment, she was lost in a world of dreams and memories.

Suddenly, she remembered, she was a girl on a mission. What was that mission agian? Was Deanne trying to figure out what kind of colone Fonzie wore agian? Or was Karla trying to give her a test of logic? Heather felt like slaming her head agisnt the table when she remembered. She was here to set Courtney up with Fonzie.

Putting all her mental dissiplene to work, Heather focoused all her mental abilities on listinging to what they were saying. It didn't sound all that important, and even if it was, she'd never seen Fonzie angry at a girl in her life. Heather hoped that wouldn't change today.

Leaning up, Heather whispered into his ear "I need to talk to you." Oh God. No good conversation ever began with those words, no matter who said them or for what pourpous.

Fonzie turned his head and looked at her. He had stopped what he was saying to Potsie, pratcially in mid-sentnece. Heather's heat skipped a beat. Those eyes. So deep, so warm, so expressive. Even Kyrla, with all her logic, would have a hard time not getting lost in them.

"It's nothing bad." Heather assured him, not sure how she was speaking. She knew she should've rehersted more, but as it was, her mouth was on autopilot. "It's just...ummmm."

Fonzie was odviously intrested, giving Potsie a quick glance, he snapped his fingers and gestured away from the table with his thumb. Potsie took the hint and got out of the booth.

"Now." Fonzie said. He was talking to her! Heather would always get lost in that voice. "What were you trying to tell me?"

Heather took a deep breath, or, as deep as her breath could get at the moment. "My roomates and I were talking about you last night. And one of my roommates, Courtney Haws, said that she didn't think you..." Heather paused as fear gripped her. Fonzie was known for his temper, if this made him angry, Heather didn't want to be within a hundred miles of him let alone right in his arms. "She said that she didn't think you are all you seem. Well...she said that she dosen't think you're all you try to make people think you are."

Fonzie reacted with surprising calmness. "Oh yeah?" he said, his tone having risen only slightly "And...you just thought you should let me know."

Heather took a deep breath. "Well...yeah..." she admited, then she remembered. The dare. "And...I told her that if she went on one date with you...that...that..."

Fortuntully for tounge-tied Heather, Fonzie finished the sentence. "That she'd change her oppion of me?"

"Yeah." was all Heather could say. Talking to Fonzie wasn't easy. Sure, she'd been on a date with Fonzie before, but they hadn't done much talking.

"Hey...no problem." Fonzie said. "I'll call her up sometime soon."

"Thanks Fonz." she said, her voice still not it's firmest. However, her uneasy breathlessness came out sounding verry soft and sensual. Heather was only grateful that it didn't squeek.

Heather wasn't sure if she was unable, or simplly unwilling to get up from the bench. Something about being cuttled to Fonzie was just so...so...mind-clouding. Looking up at him, Heather was tempted to just stare until he kissed her.

Somewhere in the back of her mind, Heather remembered that it wasn't approapate to kiss a guy you'd just set up with your best friend and roommate. Still...it's not like anything would come of the date she'd just set up.

The thought didn't even seem to occur to Fonzie as he leaned down and pressed his lips aginst hers in a short, but passionate kiss. When he broke away, Heather tried to move, but she had pratcially turned to rubber.

Pulling herself from the booth, Heather raced from the door. Courtney had better enjoy her date...because Courtney currently owed her big!
