The first and only band that comes to my mind is the country music act named Lonestar. I wouldn't say that the band is ruined, but I will say that all of their success was during the time when Ritchie McDonald was the band's lead singer. The first person to fill his slot was a guy named Cody Collins. The person who sings lead for the band now is Drew Womack who sang lead for another country music act back in the late 90s named Sons Of The Desert.
