I heard many moons ago that way before Disney was gonna buy ABC they had a chance to buy CBS but when Disney was going to do it but lost the chance when they ended up being bought by ABC and I wondered what became of this story and it happened in the 90's? I think this was Disney's biggest regret they had because the way I see it Disney would've bought all the Screen Gems sitcoms the Columbia/Tristar Television shows and the game shows Jeopardy and Wheel Of Fortune and it would've been really smart

I think I heard something similar too. Also, I am friends with former Price is Right producer Roger Dobkowitz on Facebook and he stated that after Goodson productions was sold they went through many owners and one of them proposed moving the show to Orlando and of course Bob Barker would not do it. Had they done so they could have moved to Disney MGM Studios.

I think it would've been smart of Disney to buy CBS rather than ABC because when you get the general picture CBS could've done amazing stuff with Disney and it would've been better if they would've had gotten the Screen Gems classic sitcoms the game shows and CBS soap operas. I cannot and still cannot figure out why Disney bought ABC in the first place and I think Disney had always dreamed of buying ABC but when CBS who is the second largest network in TV had a chance to get bought by Disney they lost it to ABC. I bet the president of CBS felt really bad when Disney bought ABC rather than choosing CBS
