What scripted TV show do you think is the most influential one? It could be a comedy, drama, western, science fiction, mystery, and so on as long as it is/was a scripted one.

I thing "Emergency " has been the most influential scripted show. Before it started Paramedics were far and few between. After the show ended there was an influx of people becoming paramedics. Even Bobby Sherman became one after guesting on the show.

For sitcoms, there was I Love Lucy that introduced the three camera setup that became common with many other shows and All in the Family, breaking ground for bringing bigotry, menopause and other taboo subjects out in the open.

I agree with I Love Lucy for it's technical contributions. Desi was was really a smart guy. Too bad his demons got the best of him.
And yes, All in the Family was very much a ground breaking show. I know Archie would have looked great in a MAGA hat!
