CBS Sunday Morning aired a story this past weekend on the upcoming daytime sudser Beyond the Gates. The story features interviews with several of the stars, including soap vet Tamara Tunie (As the World Turns) & former Amen star Clifton Davis as the head of a wealthy African-American family living in a lavish, gated estate outside Washington, DC. The show's producer and head writer are also interviewed, giving a preview of some of the juicy storylines the soap will feature.
The soap, the first new daytime serial to debut on American TV for over 25 years & the first soap to prominently feature an African-American family from its debut since NBC's Generations in 1989, will premiere on CBS on February 24. You can watch the preview below:
