View Full Version : Fireplace in Fender Bender
Rich3 01-19-2025, 11:47 PM There is a fireplace scene in this episode where Mrs Brady has to go to traffic court.
What is interesting is that it was so late in the season episode number 23. In the spring?
But it is definitely a real fire.
Rich3 01-19-2025, 11:59 PM ...However the chimney does look kind of small as it must go through the brick divider separating the area from Mike's den.

Southern California has strange weather. Can be cold one day, hot the next. It's not unusual to have a really warm Christmas and a very cold Easter. So having a fireplace going in the spring is normal for California . :)

I have never noticed the fireplace with a fire. I will have to check that episode out.
Rich3 01-20-2025, 05:15 PM I'm still suspicious of a chimney. So I don't know if the fire was real wood. Or something else.

Me too. A soundstage wouldn't have a real chimney.
Bachu 01-21-2025, 04:42 PM I think this was the only episode we ever saw the fireplace lighted.

TheLittleFaerie 02-02-2025, 08:43 AM It could be that the seasons in the show don't necessarily match up with the actual seasons as when the show is aired
Dude111 02-02-2025, 04:45 PM I remember the guy trying to take Mike to Court saying he hurt his neck when in fact it was a lie...
Rich3 02-03-2025, 10:49 PM To add insult to injury, the other side of the fireplace is a fireplace in Mike's den. Also without a chimney.

?? On the reverse of the fireplace in the living room is the rock wall in Mikes den where the two seater couch is.
On the reverse of the fireplace in the den is the rock wall in the living room where the main couch is.
The chimneys are the two brick columns.
Granted, there is nothing on the outside of the house that looks like a chimney.
Rich3 02-08-2025, 05:43 PM Yes, that is probably correct.
The more I think about it, it was a cool scene regardless. Seeing a fire in a non winter episode. Kind of cozy and interesting.
Bachu 02-11-2025, 06:18 PM I'm surprised they never did an episode with Greg wooing his date with a roaring fire. And just when he and his date were about to kiss, all the other kids come back and cramp his style.
Rich3 06-21-2026, 04:58 PM There is also a BLAZING fire in the episode, You're Never too old. About the grandparents.
BestTVever 06-21-2026, 05:54 PM You guys are right. Here is the scene. What a great trivia question.

CosmicCharlie 07-09-2026, 10:43 PM that this is Uncle Fester. LOL!!
Jackie Coogan; he was a famous actor for many years...He was Keith Coogan's father. (Who was in Fox and Hound; and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead). He was also the founder of Coogan's Law, which protected child actor's earnings from being poached by their parents.
Jackie Coogan (Mr. Duggan) was a glider pilot during WWII and landed troops in Japanese territory in the jungles of Burma. What a hero!
Child actor Jackie Coogan on The Kid from Charlie Chaplin.
