For a few seconds during the live premiere of Netflix’s WWE Raw (https://www.reddit.com/r/boymeetsworld/comments/1hwaxmg/danielle_and_will_at_wwe_monday_night_raw/) at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Jan. 6, the Boy Meets World actress, 43, was shown on the Jumbotron alongside former costar Will Friedle, 48.
But fans noticed something off about the broadcast: When the camera was trained on the pair in the audience, only Fishel was identified by the superimposed text. (And she had the receipts, posting a snap of the moment to her Instagram account after the event.)
It seems like Friedle didn’t take his omission too seriously, though. In the caption of her post, she said that she and her former costar “laughed about this the entire ride home” — especially because her character’s name “Topanga” and “Will Friedle” were trending on Twitter after the flub. She attached a screenshot of the Twitter trends at the end of her post.
Along with former costar Rider Strong, the pair host the iHeartRadio podcast Pod Meets World, for which they rewatch every episode of the original series and share memories and anecdotes from set. Fishel played Topanga Lawrence on the series; Strong played Shawn Hunter; and Friedle played Eric Matthews.
Before the podcast’s launch, Fishel confided to PEOPLE, she was concerned it might cloud fans' perception of the series. “We were worried we might ruin the show,” said the actress. "We don't want our criticisms or our critiques or our experiences to in any way change what your opinion of the show is. They're just our honest opinions, and we can't do it if we're not going to be honest.”
