I have just read a story that Sharon Kinne has been found deceased in Canada. My grandfather, who was one of the lead investigators in her murder case always said she was in Alaska.

WHAT!? Ain't no way! They found La Pistolera? I'm on the wiki rn and they haven't updated it. I always figured that lady probably died a long time ago considering how old she was.

I don't see any articles on this. The only case I can think of like this is when they discovered Gloria Schulze living in Canada (she died in 2019 before being apprehended).

Sometime between the time of their marriage and James Sr.'s death in 1979, the couple moved to Alberta, Canada. Sharon and James had a son together. James Glabus Sr. was 38-years-old at the time of his death. A Canadian newspaper article stated he was a known alcoholic and diabetic. The cause of death was ruled a result of asphyxiation from inhalation of gastric juices as a result of being in a diabetic coma. During a death inquiry, a physician stated James Glabus Sr.s' history of illness showed he wasn't prone to a diabetic coma. I was unable to locate anything further on his death, only an obituary and the newspaper article about the death inquiry."

With her history my money is on her snuffing him. Seems the last one went naturally...lol his obit says one of his hobbies was barhopping...

So.. one part of me says that if someone is an alcoholic, it wouldn't be unheard of for them to have a blackout and choke on their own vomit. It's.. certainly not unheard of.

I had no idea I was going to receive anything when I inquired and asked if there was any new info that could be released after 55 years. I figured they would either tell me it was an open investigation, or maybe send a line of text stating they've received x number of leads since her escape.

I performed a lot of research in the newspaper archives on her aliases and only found a few things. First I found the two deceased husbands obits in Canada, and then I found the death inquiry article for James Glabus. I also found a real estate advertisement with her picture and alias in their local newspaper.

Seems like any poor sole that crossed this woman's path winded up dead.
She definately capped 4 people, chances are if you follow her deadly trail more will pop up, especially her final landing spot Alberta.

Yes , now trying to find out how she got from Mexico to California. Right now nothing of her life at that period that is known. Several people locally have said that Sharon’s attorney Alex Peoples bought her out of the Mexican prison and got her set up in CA. Currently hoping people which that knowledge will come forward now

Some of Kinne's former friends and neighbours in Taber had gathered for an afternoon of bridge at the local seniors' centre in Taber when they learned the news.

"I can't believe it. I'm in shock," said Vena Vandersteen. "That's just insane."

Vandersteen said Glabus was a talented needlepoint artist who once gave her a hand-made quilt as a gift.

Glabus was also a food bank volunteer, often supplying them with homemade banana bread.

The group of women learned to play bridge together, taught by Phyllis Katrusik.

"She came here to play bridge with us and liked it," said Katrusik. "And we were always anxious to get players, we're rounding up players whenever we can."

Katrusik also reacted to the bombshell news that her friend and neighbour was a convicted killer, on the run from authorities.

"How can you fool the whole world year after year?" she wondered.

Dee Glabus came to Taber in 1973 with husband Jim Glabus. The two owned the local Taber Motel before working together as realtors.

The bridge ladies said after Jim died in 1979 at the age of 38, Dee was left out of his will and fought it in court.

"We just all felt sorry and wanted to help her," said Katrusik.

I absolutely would have lost a bet on this one. I always bought into the theory that Sharon Kinne was murdered by the family of her Mexican victim after the 1969 prison escape, the one that postulated they helped her get out and then offed her themselves.
To come back right to her native country and then on to Canada took some guts.
