The last time that we saw Michael was in the "Custody" two-parter from Season 2, where Michael (Angela's ex-husband and Jonathan's father) wanted custody of Jonathan until the latter threw up at the former's wedding. This seemingly convinced Michael and his new wife Heather not to take Jonathan after all, having decided to spend some time alone together for a while.

However as it turned out, Michael never turns up again in the series (which lasted for six more seasons) after this. Why exactly, was this was the last we saw of Michael? Did Michael pay Angela in child support and does he get alimony? Did Michael even see or keep in contact with his son, Jonathan going forward?
