In 1997 Target debuted it's first ever holiday mascot which was an adorable snowman named Snowden and he would soon become a major celebrity for Target by starring in Target commercials and his own ice show called Snowden On Ice. In 1998 Snowden became the star of another Target commercial promoting his animated Christmas special with Raggedy Ann and the commercial itself is so cute with a little girl hugging a stuffed Snowden. Interestingly this commercial was to honor a Target exclusive plush set of Snowden and Raggedy Ann And Andy which were yours with a Target purchase and was a smart holiday promotion. My mom has both the Raggedy Ann And Andy plush set and they are really cute and look really wonderful in their holiday outfits. Snowden was retired in 1999 but will be remembered as Target's successful holiday celebrities
