Paramount+ removes classic Nickelodeon shows from its streaming catalog, including Doug, Big Time Rush, and numerous other beloved series.

And I naively thought the developments in streaming would bring more old shows out of the studio vaults and onto our TV screens. Alas, the opposite seems to be happening.

When you get the general picture I think why Paramount+ is getting rid of some Nickelodeon shows especially the classic Nickelodeon shows is a effort for Paramount+ to develop their own original children's programming and they think by getting rid of some of the classic Nickelodeon shows like Doug this will help Paramount+ survive and I wouldn't be surprised if Nickelodeon itself will go bankrupt in a few years and Paramount will develop Paramount Kids and use that channel to develop their own original kids programming. Because when you look at Paramount+ the only reason it is going strong is that they focus a lot on their original series such as Yellowstone Mayor Of Kingstown Landman Star Trek Strange New Worlds and other drama shows. But in their kids content they have only a few exclusive shows such as the Spongebob Squarepants Christmas specials and most of their original kids shows are made by Nickelodeon but are shown exclusively on Paramount+ such as the cancelled reboot of Rugrats. So why Paramount+ is removing some of the classic Nickelodeon shows i'll never find out the answer to this question. At least the classic Nickelodeon game shows like Double Dare Legends Of The Hidden Temple Nickelodeon Guts and Nickelodeon Arcade aren't getting removed from Paramount+ though. I mainly think Nickelodeon is doing this for money to save themselves from going belly up in TV networks
