OK, I've never watched it so I see my confusion. I do remember years ago practically ever station (over the air and cable) ran this movie. Then I think NBC got exclusive rights.

Everyone's reactions are mixed about the movie. Some people love it and consider it a Christmas classic, while other people outright hate it or think it sappy and overly sentimental.
