SarahBellum 12-30-2024, 02:50 PM Good. Sadly, it looks like that is the only change to the MeTV evening schedule. So many episodes seem so trite, I don't remember how long the last go-round was (maybe a year, 18 months?) but I thought they got everything they were going to get out of it. The Honeymooners is a major upgrade, unfortunately at 6 episodes a week the series run lasts a little over 6 weeks. Maybe METV will double up the Hillbillies when the summer ends. stevea 06-02-2025, 11:01 PM They run things up the flagpole in the summer, and see what happens. A few years ago it was The Addams Family at 6 pm, which didn't work out. It's obvious Gomer didn't work; will The Honeymooners? We'll see. Putting Gomer in primetime originally was definitely a surprise, surprise, surprise, as was returning it. It had been off MeTV for several years, and was previously at some ridiculous hour like 5 am. Willbo 06-03-2025, 01:29 PM I still can't figure out how Hogan's Heros stays at the 10:00 hour. It's been there for over 10 years probably closer to 15. It has definitely run its course. It's a mystery too many people including Neal Sabin the Vice Chairman of METV who has stated in interviews he doesn't care for the series! An argument could be made that outside of The Andy Griffith Show it is the second most popular 1960's series in rerun history. |
