Happy's Place (https://screenrant.com/db/tv-show/happys-place/) has already resolved its main conflict in just a few episodes, and that doesn't bode well for the freshman workplace and family comedy.

To me, things can still be written for the show. We know that man who brought Reba's character together with her half-sister is gone now. Things could end up happening with their mothers. If something were to happen to Isbella's mother sometime later, Reba's character will be the only family that Isabella still has.
