okay this is a totally off the wall fan fic, just, well sort of, popped in my head. (kinda got the idea from watching JAG the other day :) But anyway..here it is..tell me if I should continue or if it sucks! thanx!

"You are kidding \me?" CD said, trying not to laugh in teh elevator full of people.
"No...I'm not...she gave me her dad's number and said 'callmy dad and see if we can go another date," Nate whispered.
CD surpressed a laugh.
"It's not funny CD, it's truly sad," Nate said, nudging CD with his arm.
Suddenly the elevator gave a jolt. CD hit the walla nd gripped the railing, while Nate just steadied himself.
Reaching out, he helped steady CD. "You okay?"
CD nodded. "Yeah,"
"Is everybody all right?" Nate called out.
"What the heck is going on?" an elderly lady asked as a man, about her age, helped her stand.
Silenve covered the group as the lights flickered, then went out. Then everybody started yelling and pounding at the walls and doors.
"Nate!" CD yelled over the dun, tugging at his coat sleeve.
Nate turned to her.
"We need to quite them down,"
Nate nodded. "SFPD FREEZE!" he yelled.
Everybody froze.
Nate looked at CD, "I think that worked," he mumbled.
CD rolled her eyes. "Everybody keep cal. I'm Inspector De Lorenzo adn this is my partner..Inspector Basso. We aren't getting anywhere by yelling and hitting the elevator,"
"Are you people behind this?" the old lady asked.
"Now why would the SFPD-"
"No," CD cut Nate off, "We aren't ma'am, But we will figure out what the problem is,"
"Does anyone have a flashlight...or something that we can use for light?" Nate asked.
"Here," a young man said, handing him a thumb flashlight.
Nate shone the light on the 4 other people in teh elevator, then shut it off. Turning to CD, he mumbled, "Now what?"
CD sighed. " I don't know, but this has gotta be bad. A 7 story hospital and teh power goes out,"
Nate nodded. "yea,"
"Hey, don't elevators have a trap door at the top?"
Nate shone the light around the ceiling of the elevator. "Bingo," he said, seeing the outlines of one.
"What are you gonna do?"
Nate took off his coat and called over the toung man. "Give me a boost up here,"
"Um...do you know what you are doing Nate?" CD asked as Nate handed her his coat.
"Honestly no, but what a better time to figure out," he grinned, then was booted up out of the elevator.
Pulling himself up, he shaned the light around and looked up the shaft. Walking over to edge he pressed his palm against the wall and looked down past the elevator. He gulped. That was a LONG way down.
"Well?" CD called up.
"Nothing," he yelled back.
Suddenly the elevator gave another jerk, and started down again. The jolt slammed teh trap door shut and tossed Nate to teh ground.
"Nate!" CD yelled.
The elevator gave a beep and the doors slid open.
Three men with AK-47's greeted them. "Hands in the air! This hospital is under a lockdown," one of them yelled!
