Vicks VapoRub
Vicks VapoRub is primarily used as a topical ointment to relieve cough and minor aches and pains.
It contains active ingredients like camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil, which help suppress coughs
and provide a cooling sensation when applied to the chest, back, or throat.
When you have a bad cough at bedtime, rub it on your feet and put socks on for a restful sleep.
Additionally, it may be used for treating toenail fungus and cracked heels
due to its antifungal properties and petroleum jelly base.

Why You Shouldn’t Use Bleach to Get Rid of Toenail Fungus
Toenail fungus can turn an otherwise healthy toenail into a discolored, thickened, and cracking one. While fungal toenail infections may be fairly common, this doesn’t mean you should use common household products — like bleach — to treat the infection.
Keep reading to find out why bleach is a bad idea for your toenail fungus, and what doctors recommend you use instead to treat it.
Dangers of using bleach for toenail fungus
Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) may actually cause toenail fungus to worsen and increase the likelihood of a toenail infection.
According to an article in the Asian Journal of Research in Dermatological Science, use of topical bleach can increase the risks for fungal infections because it can damage the skin and nails. This allows opportunistic fungus to come in through the damaged skin or nail and cause an infection.
Topical bleach warnings
Never apply concentrated (undiluted) bleach to the skin. It can create a painful chemical burn that may require medical attention. Breathing in concentrated bleach fumes can also damage your lungs.
If you do get bleach accidentally on your skin, quickly rinse the bleach away with water.

WOW!! The poster who preaches on HEALTH, ALTERNATIVE DOCTORS, and HOME REMEDIES now believes in a podiatrist!
ARE YOU BECOMING A HYPOCRITE ???
Any podiatrist that tells you to use BLEACH, knows you will have to see them more often, for more foot problems, maybe even a foot amputation.
You just might want to get a second opinion by another podiatrist, who doesn't want to do you harm!!!
Any ALTERNATIVE DOCTOR with intelligent knowledge knows NOT to use bleach!

Why you shouldn’t use bleach to get rid of toenail fungus
Home remedies that may treat toenail fungus
Although it’s best to see a podiatrist for toenail fungus treatment, you may want to try a home remedy first. Many of the following home remedies have antifungal properties and can be applied directly to the infected area:
Vicks VapoRub: This can be applied once a day.
Snakeroot extract: Apply every third day for the first month, twice a week for the second month, and once a week for the third month.
Tea tree oil: Apply twice a day with a cotton swab. Note that this may cause irritation or an allergic reaction.
Olive leaf extract capsules: Take one to three capsules twice daily with food.
Ozonated oils: Apply twice a day to the infected area.
Vinegar:Soak the affected area for up to 20 minutes a day using one part vinegar to two parts warm water.
Lastly, another home remedy is to change your diet. Some foods—such as those rich in calcium, vitamin D, fatty acids, probiotics, lean protein, and iron—may help prevent you from contracting toenail fungus. Talk to your doctor if you’re considering a change in diet or any of the home remedies to determine if they are right for you.

Warning against bleach.
Will Bleach Kill Nail Fungus?
Toenail fungus can be tough to treat. Many people look for fast home remedies, so they soak their feet in bleach to kill nail fungus. But is it effective, and more importantly, is it safe? Let’s take a closer look and see how successful you’ll be if you use bleach to kill nail fungus.
Can Bleach Kill Nail Fungus?
Yes, bleach can kill some types of fungi because of its strong disinfectant properties. But toenail fungus usually hides under the nail and in the nail bed, and bleach can’t penetrate your nail deeply enough to completely remove the fungus.
So, it is an unreliable solution.
Worse, using bleach on your skin and nails can cause significant harm.

Please don’t dip any body parts in bleach. It’s dangerous and could cause serious bodily harm, or worse. In fact, follow none of Caroline13’s usually terrible medical advice and instead consult your doctor.
