24 hours to a day
(Approximately) 365 days a year
10 years to a decade
10 decades to a century
10 centuries to a millennium (1000 years) and so on ...
But, I left out something that we really don't talk about.
Something we see occur every year on New Years Eve...
Something that wasn't discovered (or invented by humans) until 1878.
In 1878 Scottish Canadian Engineer "Sir Standford Flemming" invented
"TIME ZONES"
How many "time zones" are there in the world?
There are 24 hourly time zones
(There are some half-hourly time zones, but I'm going with only hourly)
Flemming, as an engineer, noticed (measured) that the sun would move 15 degrees every hour.
Since the earth is considered a 360 degree circle, when you divide it by 15 degrees you get 24.
Therefore the earth is divide into 24 different time zones.
Also, since there is 24 hours in a day and 24 time zones.
At any hourly time there are also 23 different hourly times in the world.
Depending on (for you) the time, it could be someone's yesterday or tomorrow.
Therefore, there is "NO SUCH THING AS A DAY OR HOUR."
There was one person who talk about "day and hour" about 2000 years ago
(34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
(35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
(36) But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
