When it came to making celebrity appearances on her show it seemed that Oprah Winfrey would make a star out of you if you were a famous celebrity and that you were known for a famous bestselling book or anything else you knew that appearing on Oprah Winfrey would soon land you a talk show of your own and that alone made your fame even bigger. And I can't figure out why Oprah Winfrey's celebrity guests got their own talk shows and it seems to me that this was a way to market their fame? It all started when Oprah Winfrey had Dr. Phil as a frequent guest on her show when he promoted his books and because of this Dr. Phil McGraw would go on to launch the Dr. Phil show and soon launched his own line of health products and became a successful author and podcast host. Soon due to the success of Dr. Phil Oprah launched another celebrity into fame when Dr. Travis Stork became part of the talk show The Doctors and I cannot figure out how on earth The Doctors became a smash talk show? But it seemed to be popular due to Oprah Winfrey discovering them. And another celebrity that had the same fate due to Oprah Winfrey was Nate Berkus and he got his show The Nate Berkus Show which failed after one season but Nate soon became spokesman for Target launching a line of home decor. And it tells me that Oprah gave these celebrities a huge amount of money for each time they would appear on her show as guests. And the only one that doesn't have a talk show is Oprah Winfrey's personal chef Rosie Daley but launched the bestselling cookbook In The Kitchen With Rosie in the 90's. But I think Oprah Winfrey was aiming at launching a spin-off production company of Harpo Productions and she knew that by using these popular celebrity guests to land their own talk shows would help her a lot

I had never understood why The Doctors became a smash talk show in the first place and I think because of Oprah she expected The Doctors to become successful. Because I think people in general seem to find health and wellness talk shows interesting to watch and after The Doctors ended Travis Stork has become a successful celebrity in health and wellness. Another Oprah produced show that you can see why it was cancelled was The Nate Berkus Show and at the time the show aired Nate was marketing products at Target and a home decorating show just didn't feel right. But it seems that when Oprah made a star of a celebrity it meant a talk show was on the way. Because I think Oprah hoped to make these celebrities famous and give them contracts for talk shows she would produce and create like what happened to Dr. Phil McGraw and Dr. Oz

Just like with cars: You get a talk show, you get a talk show, you all get a talk show! Tax free!

I think why Oprah Winfrey wanted to give Dr. Phil McGraw Nate Berkus Dr. Oz their own talk shows was to see how successful they would become based on the appearences they would make on her show. Because when you get the general picture I think Oprah paid these celebrities millions of dollars to appear on her show and as a reward for doing a great job on her show Oprah Winfrey would give the celebrities their own talk shows to see how famous they continued to get. But I think she wanted to create a spinoff of Harpo Productions and see how many celebrities she could turn into household names. Because as I said in my opening post when you are a celebrity and you appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show she would be your ticket to more fame and your own talk show

Very simply, if Oprah 'gave' them a show, she owned the show - and made money off it.
