View Full Version : What happened to Fonzie after season 3?
TVFactFan 10-16-2002, 11:40 PM I just got finished watching the 2nd anniversary Show of Happy Days and I think Fonzie looked more cool from 74-76. After that i don't know what happen. From 1974-1976, Fonzie had the collar of the leather flipped up, the jacket was black, the T-shirt was white, the jeans were blue and he was smaller. He defintely had a cool look. But After season 3, Fonzie gained weight, started wearing a black t-shirt with a brown leather jacket, his jeans were white, and he gained weight. I don't care what no one says, the Fonz may have acted cool, but his outfit was STRANGE! I still can't believe Fonzie had on white jeans.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 10-17-2002, 12:26 AM He was getting old. Plus, they probably figured he was so popular, no one would notice!
animalcrackers 10-17-2002, 08:34 AM I think we all noticed. Yeah, in the beginning he did look like a greaser, real cool. I would have found him another black jacket and I would have had him wear darker blue jeans. But he was and still is the coolest.
iluvfonzie 10-17-2002, 10:07 AM Fonzie would be just as cool in a suit and tie. It was his personality that made him cool, not the clothes he wore.

Well I sure noticed. I still can't believe Fonzie was acting cool with WHITE JEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They weren't WHITE!!! Just light blue, lol!
I don't know, I never thought Fonzie was uncool until I started reading peoples' posts about Fonzie being uncool. I guess I kinda new Fonzie gained weight, but I guess I just saw through that. I always thought the Fonz was actually cooler in the later episodes, not in the first couple of seasons. I see what you guys mean about his weight gain and stuff, but I mean, I like the Fonz. I never really thought he was "cute" or had the perfect body or anything, but there's just something about him that you just gotta love.

They Were "Light" Blue But The Background Of The Board Is "White" And Is Jeans Were Not That White, It All Depends On What You Consider "White"
buddy love 10-17-2002, 09:57 PM Fonzie never wore white jeans. Winkler did gain weight but was never what you would call fat on "Happy Days".

Yes he did have on white jeans-and i wish i knew what episode it was-but atleast he did return to wearing blue jeans in the 80's. Also blue jeans or white jeans does not match well with a brown leather jacket.-ONLY Black-like in the first two seasons
iluvfonzie 10-18-2002, 11:03 AM The only complaint I had about Fonzie's wardrobe was I noticed that the bottoms of his jeans widened out a bit in the later eps. I liked it when they were tight against his ankles, so you could see he was wearing biker boots. In the later ones, you couldn't see that he was wearing boots as easily.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 10-18-2002, 12:03 PM Ugh I know..his jeans went from loose boot-cut dark jeans (VERY cool) to those washed out faded blue flared things (Ew!) LOl. To me, he lost some of his "coolness" after the 2nd season. He still had the cool in him the 3rd and 4th, but after that, some of the things he did, and the responses that he got (screams) were just like...ugh I dunno lol. I think he was the coolest when he DIDNT have to walk into the room with the girls screaming or he didnt hav to pound everything to fix it- to me, it was the first 2 seasons where he was mysterious and quiet that made him the coolest!

I didn't like how his leather jacket was the same color as a chocolate chip cookie in the later episodes
bandito 10-18-2002, 09:55 PM i agree milknpepsi the first two seasons for him were the coolest:cool:
