In December of 2004 a channel that would originally be known as GMC "Gospel Music Channel" made it's debut with a mission to produce family oriented programming and original movies specials and shows. After so long GMC would convert itself to Up TV "Uplifting Entertainment" and still continue to keep the same image GMC had and now this month Up TV celebrates it's anniversary with special marathons of shows movie premieres and much more. Out of all the family entertainment oriented channels i'm surprised that Up TV is very much improving because in my eyes they are what PAX TV should've been had PAX TV not changed their image. But Up TV should bring back the old lineup they had with reruns of Early Edition and other shows. But I think the one show that is a mega hit and is still surviving well for Up TV is Heartland because it seems to be a high winner. And they added Walker Texas Ranger and Reba which also have done well for Up TV. But what Up TV needs to have is family oriented game shows and perhaps reruns of 80's sitcoms such as The Hogan Family and Mr. Belvedere and 90's shows like Step By Step
