I love Smallville. I know the show isn't perfect, but I can't put into words how much this version of Clark Kent and Superman means to me. Smallville was a show that helped shape me as a person, during a time when morality and the questions of living in the world were overwhelming to me. One thing I've sadly noticed, especially in recent years, is that WB and DC have a real disrespect for this version of the character. If it was just them, maybe I'd roll my eyes and figure "Sounds about right," but this mindset has, unfortunately, also spread to a lot of supposed fans of the Superman character.
