I thought about long and hard and it was tough but my favorite episode is from the 1975 season which is the first season. Mr. Piano Man is a episode that i can watch all the time-it's my number one. George arguing with the Piano Mover, George and Florence rushing to answer the door at the sametime, Florence crawling under the piano to answer the door. I mean this episode had it all. As a matter of Fact, i think i will watch it again later today. Does anyone have a number one?

If you choose from the 1st season, the best one probably has to be Jenny's Low followed by Mr. Piano Man.

The episode in which George, Helen, and Tom get locked in the bathroom! One of the top 10 most hilarious sitcom episodes of all time!

Yes that was another good one-I liked Jenny's low. I like the part when George and Jenny's brother were trading insults-here is one of the insults that george said to Jenny's Brother

"Look when you are in my house you better show some respect, with your elephant ears and chicken neck"

Yeah, I like it when George and Helen trade insults toward the end of Jenny's Low. It's also hilarious when George makes a smart comment and then struts off, the reaction from the audience is hilarious.

After talking about it now i have to search my sitcom collection so that I can watch that episode.

I'm so glad I have the first season on DVD. You must get it. There's scenes from Jenny's Low that had been cut out on Nick at TV Land including a scene with Mother Jefferson and her crossword puzzle. Plus, there's some insults between George and Alan that Nick and TV Land cut.

I have the whole first season of The Jeffersons on DVD and all of the episodes on there are my favorites:I have other favorite episodes like when George and Tom are wearing matching suits at Bentley's birthday party that the Jeffersons gave and everyone argued, where George and the Willises' get locked in the Jefferson's bathroom(the funniest),when Florence's parents came, where Mother Jefferson had her birthday party and George and Louise invite her sister and they had a fuss over 20 years about a Bingo Card, the term paper episode, and a few others:lol:

I know some of the insults are cut because i saw that same episode on Screen Gems Network and they have insults that Nick at Nite doesn't have and Nick at nitehas insults that Screen Gems Network doesn't have. I can i get the Jeffersons on DVD/VHS?

My #1 favorite "Jeffersons" episode is The Term Paper (Part 1, that is; Part 2 was so-so). It aired January 1976 and it showcased George at his rawest and most uncompromising--in other words, the way we like him! When the Willises give him and Louise tickets to "Chorus Line", an unimpressed George says "How come you couldn't get tickets to 'Wiz'?"

But beyond that, it's one of the best depictions of how a seemingly simple situation can escalate into an explosive one in which people end up angrily hurling racial slurs at each other. This episode just worked on so many different levels: funny (upon finding out that Lionel's term paper is on homosexuality, Tom Willis looks at Lionel and asks "Uh, exactly what kind of degree are you getting?"; Florence loudly vacuuming in the middle of the argument between the Jeffersons and the Willises, etc., etc.); shocking (not only do we hear "honky" but we also hear "******"; Louise lashing out at the Willises); and sad (Jenny gives her ring back to Lionel).

A close second is the Lionel-Jenny wedding on Christmas Eve. I thought it was not only a funny and genuinely touching episode but also a clever one in the way it shows how the Reverend sneakily marries Lionel and Jenny right under George and Tom's noses and they're not even aware of it. And I can watch that nerdish white Reverend trying to do the Funky Chicken with George at the end over and over it's so hilarious. This episode also has some great lines-------George: I want some music you can get DOWN to! Louise: This is a wedding, George. Not Soul Train. George: The Baptist church is the church I have followed all my life! Louise: Then how come no one can ever get you to GO to church? George: I said 'follow', not 'go to'.

Some other favorites are: the Premiere episode; the Lionel Getting Slapped By Everyone episode ("life of the party"); the birthday party for Bentley; Florence thinks about suicide (one of the rare cases where a sitcom handled a serious issue in a touching yet still funny way); Lionel gets drunk; the Blackout; Tom tries to act black; Billy Dee Williams; Louise visits her old childhood home; George mistakenly goes to a KKK rally.
