Jason Mraz an up and coming folk rock singer is appearing on the CRAIG KILBORN show on CBS on Wed nite at 12:30 AM after DAVID LETTERMAN. That's actually 12:30 AM Thurs. He also has out a new album on Electra records that was released yesterday. You might be wondering why I'm writing about him on here. Well, Jason just happens to be my 2nd cousin. (My cousins son on my dads side of the family!) He's been the opening act for Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, Jewel & others. So we are understandably excited! The very first member of my family to appear on National tv. :) Figured folks might wanna check him out. I've heard some of his music over the internet & the kids good! Can't wait to watch it & tape it! :) Sorry to be so off topic. But this is exciting stuff! :)

Thanks! Jason was on there & he did great! I was really dissapointed they didn't interview him. Oh well. Sadly I hadn't seen him in along time. With alot of relatives like that you only get to see them when someone in the family dies or something. He's living in La now so it's been awhile since he's been back home. It was so exciting seeing him on there! I wish they'd get him on Conan O'Brien, David Letterman & Jay Leno! :)

This might sound like a dumb question, but is Arlo Guthrie classified as a folk rock singer? I've only heard "Alices Restarant". Its a very entertaining song; kind of like a folk song...

Congratulations Cheryl. I noticed on MTV this morning that Jason Mraz's song was #19 on the Hit board. WoW........ Lisa Marie Presley was #4 and Madonna was #9. He is really going strong!

I didn't see the name of the song because I had just entered the living room (from getting my morning cup of coffee) when I saw the #19 displayed. I just caught his name. :)

Thanks for the info! :) Didn't know he was on MTV but had read he was on VH1. His new single is THE REMEDY so that's probably the one you saw. He was recently on Regis & Kelly. We are going to see Jason in concert Tues nite at Norfolk, VA. We are driving back the 2 hrs back home after the show rather than have to pay for a motel. Should be fun!

I saw Jason on that show and I thought he was a very good singer and a good-looking guy! That song "The Remedy" is terrific! How cool, Cheryl, to be related to someone who is on his way up in the music business!

Thanks for the info & support for Jason! A week or so ago we went to see him in concert at a club in Norfolk VA & had a great time! His new hit on radio & video is called THE REMEDY. He put on a great show & we had fun! My cousins (His dad & his dads sister) & my aunt (His grandma) & his mom & step mom were there so it was kind of a family reunion. It was a fun nite. He will be on the TONIGHT SHOW with Jay Leno May 19th! :)

Cheryl, I just wanted you to know that my son just got me copies of the video when Jason was on "The Last Call" and the video they show of "The Remedy" from VH1. I have been hearing his song on the radio and I love it. My daughter thinks he is cute too! :D If you get to see him anytime soon, tell him we think he is very talented and hope he goes far with his career!
