Characters who are goofy and silly can never have their own spinoff. Only strong characters like Richie or Fonzie. Who would have look at 30 minutes of Ralph and Potsie? That's why the spinoff never happened because it would have never worked.

Then how do you explain Laverne and Shirley? THEY were goofy/crazy for 30 minutes every week. I don't see much of a difference in that respect.

But taking Ralph and Potise out of the show would have REALLY hurt it. Sure they weren't as important as Richie and Fonzie BUT...who did Richie and Fonzie hang out with? It would be stupid.

On Happy Days: "Hey where are Ralph and Potsie? They live in Milwaukee? Then why aren't they hanging around in Arnolds?"

Or on R&P's show. "Hey where is Richie and the Fonz? Oh they still live in Milwaukee? Then why aren't they around and why don't you guys hang out at Arnolds anymore? Doesn't Chachi live upstairs??"

Characters need to be more separated or move away from a spin off to work.

Well not that many people want to see goofy male characters for 30minutes. PLus the show would have had to be about something else besides Ralph and Potsie acting silly. And that's when the problem would have came because not that many people can take those characters seriously.

I Would Have Watched An Hour Of Ralph And Potsie! I Guess It's Because I LOVE HD Alot And You Would Have To, To Wanna Watch A Spinoff Like That.

I Agree TOTALY!!!

In responses concerning Laverne & Shirley. Well, first off, it wasnt a *goofy show*- in fact at times it was FUNNIER than Happy Days because they had good PHYSICAL comedy! The *goofy* spinoff would have been LENNY & SQUIGGY--which was in the works! Personally, I dont think Lenny & Squiggy OR Ralph & Potsie would be a big hit, only because you need the chemistry of the WHOLE cast--thats what made the shows #1! Im not saying I wouldnt watch them...because I would...but look @ Joanie Loves Chachi- how long did THAT last? I rest my case.:D

Potsie, Ralph, Chachi, Drinkwater Twins, Mrs.Arcola, and maybe a neighbor downstairs a male...who always complained. Thatd be the cast. Ohh....and Spike! LOl.

Chachi, Maisy & Daisy, plus the Fonz & Rich could drop in once in a while, maybe Potsie's father, we never saw him!

I Would move Potsie and Ralph to a whole other town like New York, Richie and Fonzie would visit a few times, But they wpould stay back in Milwaukee. I Would add a Grumpy Landlord, A Surfer type guy that usually ends up being Potsie and Ralph's 3rd man, and a few Love interests for them.
