In 1978 Butterball debuted a Thanksgiving commercial which aired during November. When the commercial begins pilgrims walk into a kitchen when they see a turkey cooking in an oven and admire the turkey's taste. The commercial was part of a series called The Spirits Of The First Turkey Lovers and aired from 1978-80
