Pavanbadal, I was wondering if you or anyone else has any idea why they moved The Love Boat from 8 to 1 in the afternoon?? This is so awful :( I don't see the reasoning behind it at all! They should put The Brady Bunch on at an earlier time, when kids get home from school. And it seems like all they show at night now is Andy Griffith and the Beverly Hillbillies. Do you know if this schedule is just temporary or not? Did they do it because the ratings were low? I think that was a really bad decision!

The ratings were good early on, they had the show on a long time at that 8 p.m. slot. Maybe a change was needed?
While I think TV Land has aired all the episodes of The Love Boat that they have access to, and I have them all on tape, I'm still glad that it's still on the air.
If the ratings in the current time slot fall, they may take the show off--unless they have the rights for awhile longer.
TV Land is good to have, but what I've noticed is that they are doing horrible editing jobs on this show. Any fan of the show (or those who have taped it from other channels such as WGN) will be able to see exactly what scenes got cut.
The Love Boat Follies episode that ran during the marathon had a whole scene with the Fred Grandy character of Gopher cut out.
Musical Cabins got a scene cut as well, as did the "That's my Dad" Christmas episode--a scene with Gopher and Isaac had a line clipped out.
It's not just The Love Boat that gets edited--I'm sure fans of other shows notice the same things about their favorite shows as well.
When I'm not worrying about the state of our world, I'm thinking about silly things--like episodes of The Love Boat! :)
