Last Friday night, I went to our local college auditorium to see Kenny Rogers. I have known the auditorium director for several years, and told him how big a fan I was of Kenny. He hooked me up with some backstage passes, and I got to shake his hand and have my picture taken with him.

In NY, it's not unlikely to pass a star from the Mary Tyler Moore Show on the streets. I even know where MTM lives.

Yes, I think we need to define "met". That is not seeing them on the streets or eating, rather, actually having them speak at least a few civil sentences to you. If all those people that you listed meet that criteria then you have met a heck of alot of stars. If so, how were they? I mean were they jerks, nice, what? Info please!

I work in broadcasting so I do get to meet a lot of celebrities. I met Barbara Eden, Stacy Keach, Jayne Meadows and Steve Allen at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Easter Sunday. They were just hanging out in the lobby. They all took their grandchildren to an Easter brunch the hotel was throwing and I chit chatted with them. All of them were very nice.

Ricky Schroeder used to live in my neighborhood in Staten Island, NY years ago before Silver Spoons. He was very arrogant and stuck up because he was an actor. Of course this was years ago when he was just a kid.

I did a brief interview with Katie Couric and she was a sweetheart. The same goes for Emiril Legasse, Jackie Mason, Peter Boyle and Montel Williams.

Harvey Keitel and Gilbert Gottfreid seemed very weird to me. They never really make eye contact when they talk to you.

OMG, Sitcomwriter, You've seen Robin Marella from Double Dare before!?! LOL! Over the summer I went through a Double Dare phase & watched it all the time & found out that Robin's last name sounds a lot like mine..If I were u & saw Sharon, LOis, & Bram, I'd make then sing the skinna marink song. YOu have celebrities that are friends of the family?! My cousin's uncle was Richard Kiley, & he did some movies & stuff, but he died a couple years ago.

I have met a few football players ( Warren Sapp, Jaquez Green, etc.. from the bucs ) and then I have met Danny Wuerful who now plays for Washington Redskins, but used to play for the gators. He is AMAZING!! My dad pulled a few strings so I could meet him hehe. I have seen out in LA while i was there Baz Lurhman, let me just say I was overly excited. I didnt go up tohim, because I didnt want to interupt him while he was eating LOL. I was just very giggly & acted stupid for the rest of the night. And at Patricks in LA, I saw Dennis Quiad. I've met Lisa Whelchel. I made her a doll . She loved it. She said it was the very first Blair doll she had ever seen. It's on her web site. I also met Mackenzie Phillips. Kyle lowder.Nadia Bjorlin.

:( None....well, I did see Kirstie Alley in a musem in Rome, but I was too chicken to talk to her....my father met Cal Ripken Jr......and my grandmother met Dick Clark and the woman who played Ellie Mae on The Beverly Hillbillies (I can't remember her name)...that's about as close as I've come to a celebrity meeting. I was in Hollywood a few months ago and I didn't see ANYONE, I was sooo disappointed. *sigh*..Oh well...

In 1993, I met Shania Twain at the Canadian Country Music Awards backstage party. I didn't think much of it then, because at the time, no one had really heard of her, but I had my picture taken with her in addition to her autograph on the Awards show programme. Unfortunately, I no longer have neither. I also met some "lesser known" Canadian country artists as well, including Michelle Wright, Patricia Conroy, George Fox, The Rankins, and Prairie Oyster to name a few.
