Yeah its weird. Susan Olson was the only one that watched the show in real time when it was on. But I have heard other actors say similar things. Bea Arthur never watched an episode of the Golden Girls. Her reason was because she would be too critical of herself i.e. I could have done a better job delivering that line.
This is why I enjoy the Real Brady Bros podcast. They are forced to watch after 50 years and start to see the thrill us fans love about the show.

It's probably the same for them as everyone else in that people don't like to watch themselves on home videos etc, being embarrassed by your own voice etc.
