View Full Version : Help With Episode Title/Season Aired
ginadawn 10-14-2002, 05:12 PM Greetings!
I was sooooo excited to find this message board! I've been going crazy trying to figure out
the title of an episode. What I can remember is that Rollo and Lamont had dates
and that they were going to have an sophisticated evening with chips and dip and
beaujolais (sp) wine. Their dates were not impressed. I *thought* Fred comes with onion
stew and ripple, and the women love it. I remember one of the dates was wearing pleated
bell bottom pants  ! I've scoured the episode guides and am still not sure. I was
thinking that it might have been "A Pad For Lamont" from the first season, but I read on
this message board that Rollo was not on the first season. Can anyone help?

The episode you are referring to is "The Party Crasher" which was in season 3. Fred was not in this episodes because of contractual disputes. So it was Grady who interfered with Rollo and Lamont's romantic evening. I hope I get this episode on tape it sounds very funny
bwjones 11-02-2002, 10:36 PM Actually, Fred IS in this episode, titled "The Party Crasher" and aired during Season Three, Episode #56. It's really funny especially when Fred shows up with the Ripple and Onion Stew. :) And did you check out the clothes on those females!!!

I just checked the episode guide and FRED was not in that episode-It was Grady. That was the first of 15 episodes without Fred.

Solomon, I noticed that in the episode guide too, but it's incorrect. I actually just grabbed that tape out of my series to make sure before I reposted to you...and FRED IS in that episode. I just watched it. Onion stew and all!!! The next episode after that one does not have FRED in it. (so the episode guide may be off by one)...

Man! That's good. I wished we could still get S&S here in Cali, but I hear that it's back to TVLand in 2003... as of today, I now have 121 of the original 135 episodes..but I'm still missing some good ones like when Fred went to Hawaii... :)

Do you know if the episodes with John Amos from Good Times who made two guest star appearances on SAnford and Son in season 2 is any good?
ginadawn 11-04-2002, 11:28 AM Thank you for your replies SOLOMAN and bwjones! The episode in question is on a Columbia House tape entitled Good Neighbor Fred, and the episode *is* "The Party Crasher." I found a seller on Ebay who bought a bunch of tapes from a Columbia House closeout sale :D. This episode is one of my favorites!
