In my eyes I think NBC has high hopes that the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will draw big ratings for this year just like last year's parade did. But I think the parade itself has still gone downhill and I can't figure out why people still continue to watch this parade every Thanksgiving. Because I think the pandemic ruined the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade beginning with the 2020 parade and they began changing the parade's image. What I think Macy's still continues to have this parade is so they can promote their store in New York and promote New York tourism. But have you noticed that during commercial breaks for the parade you don't see one single Macy's commercial in the commercial breaks which tells me that Macy's doesn't promote sales during the parades and focuses on other things but the ones who gets the most commercials for their Holiday lineups is NBC and Peacock. I much prefer the earlier era of 1993 to 2019 of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades and wish Macy's would go back to creating these style of parades again

I think what has caused Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to lose ratings is the fact that beginning last year they switched the time from 9AM to 8AM and seriously what families get up at 8AM on Thanksgiving just to see this parade? I would not and that's one reason NBC should've left the timeslot alone in the first place. I think Macy's wants to secretly make their parades a Peacock exclusive so NBC can air other programming other than the parade. I think the only reason why NBC draws huge ratings for these parades is to promote Macy's sales and Macy's can draw more customers to their stores
