John knows how to cheer me up and I laughed out loud when he arrived wearing a bald cap — being a true loving friend and brother.”

Candace Cameron Bure is continuing to be there for her Full House costar Dave Coulier amid his ongoing cancer treatment.

The actress, 48, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview at the 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards on Friday, Feb. 7, that she often checks in with Dave, 65, following his diagnosis with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in October 2024.

“I talk to Dave a lot, and he's still on his journey and doing okay,” Cameron Bure said. “So we'll see here in the next couple of months as his chemo rounds end how he's feeling.”

The Fuller House star further explained that she checks in on him personally with “phone calls," where they share laughs and reflect on the close bond of their two Full House characters, D.J. Tanner and Joey Gladstone.

“That's the most really anyone can do," she added. “And you tell people how much you love them, that's what friends are for. You're just there for people, whether it's to be a listening ear or give words of comfort and encouragement.”

One of my favorite moments concerning Joey and D.J. was when Joey said to Danny during a season two episode, "You told me that if I put my foot down, the girls would respect me. Now, D.J. hates me and my foot!" :D :D :D
