Mariette Hartley is an amazing actress best known for her work in movies and TV but in addition to movies and TV Mariette Hartley also did commercials and is best known for her well known commercials where she was the spokeswoman for Nestle's Toll House cookies. But Mariette Hartley soon was spokeswoman for a supermarket chain named Big T Supermarkets. Big T "kind of sounds like a name for a WWE wrestler" was a independently owned supermarket chain that was similar to IGA and the only commercial Mariette did for Big T Supermarkets appeared in the 1980's "possibly 1986/87" and it features Mariette Hartley discussing Big T Supermarket's 4th Of July Summer Sale and I didn't know Mariette Hartley promoted a grocery store chain and she was really great in this commercial. I don't know if Big T Supermarkets still exist today but I remember shopping at a Big T Supermarket with my great-aunt and mother and we liked the products they sold and for a time Big T Supermarkets were very big in California and they had a big audience of shoppers and it's a shame you don't see supermarkets like Big T today

I wonder what happened to Big T Supermarkets? Because I never knew what happened to them. But I don't know how Mariette Hartley became Big T Supermarkets spokeswoman for their commercials because it seemed that Big T was trying to get celebrities to do their commercials and they probably paid Mariette Hartley a lot of money just for this commercial alone
